The LTBV  has implemented an integrated  management system involving Quality, Safety and Environment and Social Responsibility ( NEN 4400-001:2010) certified and Arbo Normering registered).
For LTBV, the quality of its service, a long-term relationship with its clients and partners and the capacity to competitively bid in all of the industrial sectors are essencial factors to its strategy, with the organization  benefiting from repeated clients that are all major industrial companies.

LTBV is strongly committed to ensure its sustainable quality performance through the implementation and improvement of an effective Quality Management System compliant with all customer requirements as well as national and international Quality Standards, procedures and regulations applicable to our projects.

The quality of all LTBV projects is continuously improved, measured, evaluated and validated for effectiveness both internally and externally.

Our HSE Policy
 
Limas Techniek BV is dedicated to making a continuous effort to increase awareness of health, safety and care for the environment within the industry. 
In order to provide guidance to its entire staff in achieving this number-one priority, a number of company Golden Rules have been formulated. These Golden Rules deal with the specific areas of health, safety, security, working conditions, sustainable development, environment protection and employee behavior.
 
There are currently Ten Golden Rules in place. They can be read by clicking on the list below.


Our HSE Rules

1Use the Correct PPE
Do it
  • Use the appropriate PPE for the task and plus task-specific PPE at all times.
  • Be Responsible for the proper storage of my PPE.
  • Stop the job and intervene if I see a colleague without appropriate PPE.
Avoid it
  • Use PPE not provide by Limasgroup.
  • Use damaged PPE.
2Report all Unsafe Situations
Do it
  • Be pro-active and report all unsafe situations.
  • Propose alternative ways to solve unsafe situations
  • Explain what makes the situation unsafe to the person concerned before reporting it.
  • Remember that I can report all unsafe situations whatever the hierarchical position of the person concerned.
Avoid it
  • Think that if I report an unsafe situation I will be considered a “trouble maker”.
  • Think that it’s not important.
3Identify and Control Hazards
Do it
  • Be aware of hazards in your working environment.
  • Place barriers and signal warn others of the hazards.
  • Stop the job of there is a risk of people being hurt and report it.
  • Carry out last minute risk assessment for tasks and implement the adequate control measures.
Avoid it
  • Do not carry out work if you do not have the right tools.
  • Do not perform work without a prior performing an absence of power/ pressure test.
  • Do not perform excavations works without a Work Permit (WP) including a detailed lay-out with all underground items.
4Behave Safely
Do it
  • Act professionally anytime, with Everyone.
  • Comply with safety signs and requirements for every task.
  • Consider the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others.
  • Intervene and influence others to act safely.
  • Give your suggestion to improve the safety standards.
Avoid it
  • Do not use alcohol or drugs;
  • Do not operate equipment you are not trained or authorized to use;
  • Do not make any technical or organizational changes without prior authorization;
  • Do not drive, cycle or walk outside the authorized paths.
5Adhere to the site permit system
Do it
  • Always read the Work Permit (WP) – if you are not sure, ask for clarification from the person in charge.
  • Ensure and check all isolations have been implemented.
  • Ensure that all control measures have been implemented and are adhered to throughout the duration of the work.
  • Ensure a copy of the PTW is posted at the work site.
  • Ensure all guards and safety equipment are replaced when the work is complete.
Avoid it
  • Do not perform a work out of the scope and limitations of the PTW.
  • Do not perform work without a valid WP , they are critical to ensuring that work is performed safely.
6Protect Yourself when working at Height
Prior to working at weight we must know the minimum height at which personal fall prevention measures ( scaffolds, harness and double lanyard) are required.
Do it
  • Be aware of site minimum height at which personal fall prevention measures are required.
  • Prior to working on a scaffold, ensure it has been inspected.
  • Prior to use a harness, visually inspect it and check the inspection tag.
  • Ensure you use the harness correctly, with an adequate absorption system and attached to a suitable anchor point.
  • Fix the tools to prevent them falling down.
Avoid it
  • Never modify scaffolds – leave this to the scaffolder’s.
  • Work at height without three fixation points ( ladders).
  • Use a ladder as a workstation.
7Obtain Authorization before entering a confined space
Do it
  • Ensure all power sources have been isolated and the atmosphere measured by an authorized person.
  • Ensure a safety watcher is present and communication devices are working.
  • Read and understand the emergency plan.
Avoid it
  • Enter a confined space without authorization / confined space permit.
  • Work in a confined space on my own.
8Work Clean, Be Lean
Do it
  • Keep only necessary items in the workplace.
  • Arrange item to promote efficient workflow.
  • Keep aisles clean.
  • Clean the work area so it is neat and tidy.
  • Set standards for a consistent organized workplace..
  • Maintain and review standards.
9Use safe lifting practices and respect all traffic rules
Do it
  • Visually check your lifting equipment/ vehicle and the validity of the periodic inspection prior to use.
  • Only operate vehicles/ lifting equipment’s if you competent and authorized to operate them.
  • Follow the approved lifting/ travel plan and ensure all loads are securely slung and properly bundled.
  • The moving load must be controlled at all times.
  • Ensure all passengers use seatbelt.
Avoid it
  • Do not lift loads over people and never walk or stand under a suspended load .
  • Do Intervene during a lifting operation if I’m not designed to do so.
  • Whilst driving, the use cellphone is forbidden.
  • Do not break site traffic rules or speed limits.
10Think Green
Do it
  • If we each one do a little, we can do a lot!
  • Immediately report and clean up spills.
  • Conserve Energy- power down, switch off when not in use.
  • Think about your waste- reduce, reuse, recycle.
  • Print Smarter.
  • Close the loop – buy environmentally friendly products.
Avoid it
  • Don’t waste water
  • Do not drop litter
